3 Concerts celebrating the 254th birthday and renovation of St. Gregory at Elend in Cologne
Concert lll.
Vocal and instrumental music by JS Bach in lesser known versions
The final concert in this series features works by JS Bach performed in lesser known arrangements along with the Lutheran mass in A major BWV 234 which stands in the shadow (along with the other 3 lutheran masses) of Bach’s b minor mass.
The Orchestra suite in a minor for violin, strings and bc BWV 1067a is better known in the version for flute, strings and bc and the cantata Ich habe genug for flute, soprano, strings and bc BWV 82a is better known in the version for bass, oboe, strings and bc BWV 82.
Come join us to hear these Bach works performed by a stellar vocal cast along with the Kölner Akademie under the direction of it’s founder and director, Michael Alexander Willens
